■Nishinoya's POV■

Y/N and I have been together for a month. The day after we got together, Chikara, Touka, and Mia congratulate us. The boys from Y/N's class kind of glares at me whenever I came to her class, but I couldn't care less. Y/N's mine and no matter how many guys trying to get Y/N, I won't give her up as long as she's happy with me. At least that's what I thought all this month, but recently something has been bothering my mind, and this could be a problem for the two of us.

I'm currently walking with Y/N, we just got back from our graduation at Karasuno. Before I left, I talk with Ryu, Chikara, and the others about something that been bugging me.

Tanaka: you better talk it out with her Noya san

Enoshita: she will definitely get sad, but I'm sure everything will be just fine... L/N is pretty wise.

I remember the talk with my friends, I tightened my grip on Y/N's hand. Y/N looks up at me with a questioning look.

Y/N: Yuu? is something wrong?

Nishinoya: uh no nothing....

I look at her eyes, they're so sweet and tender. I slump my shoulder, I can't keep it up from her any longer.

Nishinoya: Y/N... I want to talk about something... about us...

■3rd Person POV■

Y/N and Nishinoya are around Nishinoya's family house. Noya takes Y/N to a hill and the two sit down on the grass. Y/N has been stealing glances at Nishinoya, she's nervous about what will he talks about. She's worried whether she's doing something that upset him or such. As Nishinoya looking down from the hill, he finally talks.

Nishinoya: Y/N... when I was a kid... I'm such a scary cat.

Y/N: Yuu was?

Nishinoya smiles at his girlfriend as she stares at him in disbelief. Nishinoya tells her about any kinds of things that sacred him when he was younger, but his grandfather helped him to overcome his fear. How his grandfather told him to experience all sort of thing.

Nishinoya looks at Y/N, nervously he takes a deep breath and finally tells her what has been bothering his mind.

Nishinoya: Y/N... I... I want to travel the world...

Y/N could feel her heart is aching, the thought of not able to see Nishinoya who knows how long. Y/N wants to be with him all the time but, she has a dream on her own too. She wants to study to become a teacher, that's her dream. 

Nishinoya: I want to experience all sorts of things in another country... but... I too don't want to lose you... I... want to be with you as well... I like you so much, that I don't want to risk something where I could lose you... so

Y/N looks as Nishinoya look conflicted. He stares at the ground beneath, brows frowning. This side of Nishinoya, Y/N has just seen it. She listens to what Nishinoya just said, about how he doesn't want to lose her. His words, and the sights of his sincere eyes, warms Y/N's chest. And she finally decided to give him what she thought.

Y/N: Yuu... go

Nishinoya looks up, afraid that he will see Y/N's angry or sad faces, but all he sees is Y/N smiling at him sweetly. There's a slight sadness in her eyes, but she doesn't look like she's forcing herself.

Nishinoya: Y/N...

Y/N: Yuu... I.. have a dream too... I want to become a teacher... I'm going to continue my study at the Univerity... and you Yuu, should go and experience whatever you are looking for...

Y/N holds Nishinoya's hands and brings them close to her face.

Y/N: I... will wait for you... Yuu... so you go on the journey you wanted and... please, come back to me...

Nishinoya pulls Y/N in for a hug, he wraps his arms around her, holding her tightly. Y/N too hugs Nishinoya tightly, and without notice, her tears fall. She really wants Nishinoya to stay, but she wants Nishinoya to be happy more than anything. 

Nishinoya cradles Y/N's face in his hands and wipes the tears away from her cheeks. Her eyes are puffy, it's obvious that she's actually sad, but Nishinoya too is sad if he has to be separated from her. But the two are still young, and they have their own dreams, so they will follow their dream first and will eventually be back together.

Nishinoya: I will definitely come back... come home to you...

Nishinoya leans in and the two shared gentle and soft kisses, as they soon will part ways. But, it won't be long, as no matter where they go, they will come back to each other.

■Y/N's POV■

The bell ring, I gather all my stuff and look at my students as they're happy to hear the sign of the school finally ended for the day.

Y/N: be careful on your way home and when doing your clubs everyone.

students: Yes teacher!

I've just walked out of the teachers' room after taking my stuff, and say goodbye to the other teachers. I walk down the hallway, and some students greet me.

Girl1: L/N sensei! you look so young, if you wear our uniform you will still look like a student.

Girl2: L/N sensei will definitely look cute in our uniform, 

I smile at my students as we walk the hallway together.

Y/N: I've used that uniform years ago

Girl1: heeh?

Boy1: don't you know? L/N sensei is graduated from here

Boy2: Sensei you were a student of Karasuno?

I nod at them. I'm pretty close with my students. 8 years ago I was a student at this school, after studying to become a teacher for four years, I finally able to pursue my dream as a teacher, and moreover as a teacher for my old school.

When I'm about to leave, I heard the sound of the ball hitting the court. I walk to the volleyball gym and see as the volleyball team students are all practicing. Some of them stop what they're doing and greets me. Just then Takeda sensei and Ukai san approach me.

Takeda: L/N sensei, stopping by to remember the old days?

Y/N: yes..

Ukai: oh right, how is Nishinoya?

I look at Ukai san and then back at the court.

Y/N: last week he was in Indonesia, taking a picture with a Komodo dragon, in one of Indonesia's islands the Komodo Island.

I show them the picture Yuu sent me last week.

Takeda: he really enjoys his life huh

Y/N: yes.. Yuu is happy

After talking with everyone for a while, I decided to walk back home. After seeing the volleyball practice today, I somehow miss Yuu even more. Yuu left to travel the world 5 years ago, after working and saving up some money. We keep in contact through phone, but actually, it's not enough.

I really miss Yuu, I want to see his face and smile while holding him in my arms, but I have to be patient. Just when I'm about to reach my house, my phone rings. It's from Yuu, I immediately answer it.

Y/N: Yuu... what are you doing?

Nishinoya: where are you? have you go back from work?

Y/N: ah yes, I'm walking back home right now... I'm close by

Nishinoya: it's rare for you to still be out at this time...

Y/N: ah... yes... I stop by the gym earlier and watch the volleyball team practicing. Coach Ukai and Takeda sensei say hi, they miss you.

Nishinoya: what about you? do you miss me Y/N?

I was taken aback by his question, does he really need to ask. I was still walking and my house is just a couple of houses left when I finally stop walking. 

 Y/N: yes... Yuu... I miss you.... I miss you so much...

I could hear Yuu sigh on the other side of the line. Does Yuu miss me? I want to ask when will he come back?

Nishinoya: I miss you too Y/N... a lot...

that voice was not from my phone. I look up and see straight ahead. There, right in front of my house, Yuu is standing while looking right at me. His bag hangs on his shoulder. Yuu gives me his boyish smile, the smile that I've been wanting to see all this time.

Y/N: Y-Yuu?

Nishinoya: How are you doing Y/N?

I could see that Yuu's eyes suddenly widened, and he smiles warmly. Yuu approaches me and reaches a hand to wipes some tears away. without me noticing, tears roll down my cheeks and Yuu saw this. He's a little bit taller, and his hair is down, but overall, he looks the same. I can't help it, I start to sob.

Y/N: Yuu.... it's really... you... 

Yuu comes even closer and hugs me, pressing me to his chest. His scent, his warmth, It's really him. I couldn't help it as I wrap my arms around him, try to be as close as I can.

Y/N: Yuu... I (sobs) I miss you (sobs)... I... really ( sobs) wants to see you Yuu...

Nishinoya: I'm sorry I was gone for so long... but now... I won't be apart from you anymore...

Yuu pushes me back a little and looks into my eyes.

Nishinoya: I'm home... Y/N

with that, he leans in and kisses me. He kisses me once, twice, and so on. After a while, he finally pulls away after I clench the front of his shirt, telling him that I need to breathe.

Y/N: Yuu...

Nishinoya: I'm sorry... I just... miss you so much...

Yuu pulls me in for another hug. I can tell that we both long for each other. Yuu pulls back a little and presses his forehead to mine.

Nishinoya: Y/N... from now on... I will always be by your side... thank you for waiting for me...

I place my hands on his cheeks again, trying to give him my best smile.

Y/N: welcome home... Yuu... I love you

That night we finally reunite, he and I became us again. From now on, we will be by each other's side. Both of us have already achieved our first dream, and now, we will get our second dream, to be with each other.
